Willpower (WIL) is a hero attribute.
Effects[]
- Piety gain – Willpower increases the effectiveness of praying in Temples.
- Each point of WP generates 30 points of piety for each turn of praying.
- Monk's damage – Willpower determines the base damage for the Monk hero class, since Monks do not have a weapon.
- Monks deals base damage of 1 to WP/4, as if he has a weapon with damage value of WP/4, where WP/4 is a truncated to the nearest integer.
Increasing willpower[]
Permanent increases[]
- Hero classes with willpower as their primary attribute (Monk, Gnome) gain +1 willpower every two levels.
- Classes with low initial willpower can train willpower to up to 12 at the Meditation Room in Mayhew.
- The Aura of Might grants +8 willpower, among other benefits.
- The quests "The Gnome Collector Part II" and "Thallis Fairgrounds" provide options for increasing any one of the five primary attributes.
- The library in the Ruins of Thallis provides the option of increasing any of the five primary attributes, up to three times.
Items[]
- Shield Beard Rings (+5 Willpower) – Socketable into armor, Dwarven Headband, Mithril Belt, and Nevryl Amulet. Each of the foregoing items provide three socket slots, enabling a hero to use up to 12 Shield Beard Rings for up to +60 Willpower total.
- Monks can socket 4 additional beard rings into the Studded Knuckle Dusters or Set of Brass Knuckles.
- Ancient Belt of the Godly Mind (+5 Willpower)
- Greater Amulet of Iron Will (+5 Willpower)
- Longsword of True Valour (+5 Willpower)
- Skullcap of Self-Improvement (+1 WIllpower)
